White fly
Scientific name: Aleurothrixus, Aleurodicus, Trialeurode
Affected plant: Wide variety of hosts
The damage is done both by cocoons as by adults that suck the sap producing thus a loss of vigour in the plant. They also segregate molasses that the Negrilla fungus (Fumagina) uses as seat, living the plant a poor look and diminishing its photosynthetic capacity, as all the leaves turn blackish. They are also vectors for viruses.
